Executive Director/Omaha Schools Foundation
It usually takes from 5 to 6 inches of new snowfall for area superintendents to begin a discussion about closing schools. It’s best to be able to announce the night before, but most times, the superintendents have to wait until morning because many times, weather predictions are incorrect. If announced in the morning – it’s usually between 5:30 and 6:00 AM
